Spring Retreat
LYF’s Spring Retreat this year will be a tent-camping trip in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We have two group campgrounds reserved in the Cades Cove Campground. One campground will be for the boys, and one will be for girls. Each campground has a capacity of 30 people. The cost for the weekend will be $20 per person, and the dates are April 5-7. We’ll need help making sure we have enough tents, tarps, sleeping pads, camp cooking equipment, and other camping gear, so when you register let us know if you have any gear we can borrow!
Our plan for the weekend will be to spend some time in worship and in the word and to spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. I know this kind of trip may not appeal to everyone, but because of how Spring Retreat is sandwiched so tightly between Winterfest and Camp LYF (5/24-27) I thought it would be a good opportunity to try something different. I’d encourage everyone to give this weekend a shot, and we’ll reevaluate afterwards how we’ll do Spring Retreats in the future.
