Taylor Holt
Taylor grew up in Stephenville, Texas. He graduated from Tarleton State University in 2014 with a degree in Communications. During his time at Tarleton, Taylor met his wife Whitney through their involvement in the Texans for Christ campus ministry. They were married in December of 2013.
After graduating, Taylor began working full-time in youth ministry in Breckenridge, Texas. He later returned to school and earned a master’s degree in Christian ministry from Abilene Christian University. In 2017, Taylor transitioned into campus ministry, leading the Texans for Christ ministry at Tarleton—the same ministry that he and Whitney were involved in as students.
After 7 years in that role, Taylor and Whitney moved with their four children to Murray, Kentucky, to lead the Racer Campus Ministry at Murray State University. In May 2026, Taylor began his work at Laurel, serving as the Director of the Christian Student Center, serving students at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Taylor’s ministry philosophy can be summed up by Paul’s words in 1 Thessalonians 2:8- “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel, but our own lives as well.” Taylor loves college students and enjoys building relationships with them as they journey together in striving to become more and more like Jesus.
