Wes Milam

Wes has served as an elder at Laurel since 2023.  He grew up in Knoxville, attending Laurel since the late 1960’s.  He attended the University of Tennessee, and while there he was involved with the Christian Student Center, where he met his wife, Chandra.  They lived in Dallas, TX, and Greensboro, NC, before moving back to Knoxville in 2010.  They have three adult children – Rose, Felicity, and Eli.  Wes has worked as an electrical engineer designing integrated circuits for mostly consumer electronics for about 30 years.  He enjoys playing tennis.  Wes also enjoys learning and teaching about the Bible, and developing a better understanding of God and His relationship with us.
